Oooh, sparkly!
Another card I did before the big move to WA. You can see the lovely green paint from my craft room in the background *sniff*. I embossed the ginormous stamped image in iridescent ice, it was lovely all by itself but I had some things lying around on my desk so I just added them to the front to give the card some dimension. The cardstock is Old Olive but the scraps of paper and ribbon are from Stampin' Up's first set of in colors. Enjoy!

Marbling!
This is another old card I did this summer. The batik looking strip of paper on the left got its awesome look by using some marbles, a couple colors of reinkers and an old stamp set case. So fun and easy. Just choose your colors of reinkers and put 2-3 drops of each color in the case. Place your marbles in and roll them around a bit. Then place your card stock in the case and roll the marbles over it. Only a tiny bit messy. Enjoy!

Hello all and happy Sunday. It's a beautiful and warm sunny day here in Sactown. This is a card I came up with for a Stamp a Stack I did with my friend Tracy in late January. I used Twitterpated fabric from the mini catalog on the base, and stamped with the Bordering on Romance set on the Conffetti white cardstock. Kind of sweet, I was thinking Valentine's day but with the option for using it any other time as well.
Here's a close up of the detail. I punched the heart out and ran it through the big shot using the Petals a Plenty embossing folder, then painted the center of the flowers using the smooch paint that I believe is being discontinued so get it while it's hot. Oh, and FYI, I found that glueing the fabric worked best with a glue stick. Some sewing might be cuter but I don't have a machine. Enjoy!

Happy Sunday everyone! It's such a lovely day I should be outside, but here I am playing on the computer instead. It's so nice now that I have uploaded all of my photo's to be able to sit down and create a post whenever I want.
This is the card I made for my hubs for the big V-day. It's not a very good pic, I should have gotten an up close shot of the heart. I stamped and embossed it from a very old Stampin' Up hostess set, it says "Lovey Dovey". I embossed it on some metallic purple cardstock a very good friend had given me for Christmas one year. The background CS is just something I picked up somewhere, the black design is flocked and I thought it spoke for itself so I didn't want to do too much to it. I layered it over some Perfect Plum and the base is just Whisper White. The ribbon is from a spool of Purely Pomegranate satin ribbon I've been hoarding because it's discontinued (I must love him if I used it on his card...he better not have thrown it out!). I hope you like it!

Alrighty folks, it's been awhile. This is why I took so long to start a blog, because I knew I would let life get in the way of my posting regularly. Well, I now have a backstock of photo's to post from. This does mean however that you might see some Christmas stuff in the middle of summer, but I guess that's how I role.
These two lovely tags I'm actually proud of, that doesn't always happen for me. Sometimes I work so hard on something that by the time I'm finished I can't stand to look at it anymore. Anyway, I made these to go with the teacher gifts I made for my boys teachers for Valentine's day. I used scraps for various places, I'm pretty sure the designer paper is from a discontinued Stampin up set, as is the jack in the box stamp and the die cut I used for the heart. I had more close up picks but my computer isn't cooperating at the moment. Enjoy!

Well Worn and watercoloring
Here is another project from my last club get together. I used the Well Worn DSP again and thought this image from the Creative Elements set really wanted to be watercolored so I used my aquapainter and just ink from the lids of Dusty Durango, More Mustard and River Rock to color it in. The flower I die cut from the Fun Flowers die and embossed it with the Petals a Plenty folder. Enjoy!

Finally! One of these days I will get on the ball and get in the hang of uploading my pics and posting regularly. These are a couple of coffin shaped treat boxes I had my gals from one of my clubs make last weekend. I got the template from the SU! website and the paper is from the Well Worn DSP pack. I thought the wood grain was perfect for a coffin. I also tried my hand with the scored medallions, much easier when you have a scoring system. I had tried them once before with just my regular scoring tool and it was a disaster. Anyway, Happy Halloween!
